The Literary Sub-Committee is an essential section of The Muslim institute. The major activities of this section are to organize events in the Institute which includes literary seminars, story reading sessions by the writers in Urdu, Bengali and Hindi, Mushaira, Shaam-e-Adab and Condolence meetings in the honour of late literary personalities. Noted poets and scholars from all over the state attend these programmes. This section has rendered outstanding service in the field of Urdu Language and Literature. Significant literary activities carried out by this Sub-Committee during last one year are as under:

A National Research Scholar Seminar was organized on 25 November 2023 by Literary sub-committee at Haji Md. Mohsin Hall. Mr. Nisar Ahmed, Hony. General Secretary delivered welcome speech. Dr. Nayeem Anis, Hony. Asst. General Secretary also congratulated and said these reach scholars are the future of the Urdu language. The Inaugural session of the seminar was presided by Mr. Jamal Ahmed. The First Session of seminar was presided by Dr. Dabir Ahmed, Head Dept. of Urdu Maulana Azad College. Mr. Md. Gulzar Alam, Miss Somi Parween, Miss Fatema Hussain, Mr. Sk. Khurshid Ali and Md. Arman were presented their papers in this session. The second session was presided by Dr. Nayeem Anis, Asst. Secretary, The Muslim Institute. Mr. Javaid Iqbal, Mr. Shahid Wasi,Miss Shama Azim, Miss Afsana Parven and Mr. Parvez Siddiqui were presented their papers in second session. Dr. Jawaid Akhter, Hony. Literary Secretary compered the seminar.
A Tri-Lingual Fiction Session and Award distribution ceremony was organized by Literary Sub-Committee on 24th February 2024 at Haji Md. Mohsin Hall under the president ship of Mr. Kalim Hazique, Poet, Fiction writer and critics. Mr. Nisar Ahmed, Hony. General Secretary, delivered the welcome speech. Prof. Aizaz Afzal Award 2024 for Poetry was conferred to Mr. Irshad Arzoo, Prof Shah Maqbool Award 2024 for prose was conferred to Dr. Abu Bakar Jilani and Ahsan Miftahi Award 2024 for Journalism was conferred to Ms. Afreen Hussain. A tri-lingual fiction session was also held Mr. Mr. Anis un Nabi and Dr. Sufia Shireen presented their stories in Urdu. Mr. Bishnudeep Chakraborty and Mrs. Sanhita Chakraborty presented their stories in Bengali, Dr. Baraj Kishore Jha and Dr. NabarunaBhattacharya presented their stories in Hindi. Dr. Jawaid Akhter compered the programme and Mr. Sajid Perwez delivered the vote of thanks.
