The computer section of The Muslim Institute was established in the year 1999 when a humble beginning was made and some multilingual DTP computer centers were setup at select locations including Kolkata with the collaboration of NCPUL, Ministry of Higher Education, Govt. of India and NIELT, Chandigarh, Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology, Government of India. It was necessary that this technology is made available to the Urdu speaking population of the country with a view to transform them into employable technical workforce. Hence, the course comprising computer application, business accounting and multilingual DTP has been successfully running in the institute ever since it came into existence.
A number of students were awarded success certificates by NCPUL and NIELIT and it helped to achieve them jobs in both private and public sectors. The institute also arranged to organize a job fair with Mahindra Price Classroom and Naandi Foundation on 23.02.2024 with a view to help the unemployed females those of MI and other centers to achieve jobs at different multinational companies. Ten such companies interviewed about 564 candidates and most of them were short listed for the job.
